MARTINE & SONIC MAKE THE SLEDGE
Three tests were available: snowboarding, bobsleigh and four "championship race". The first of three resembled a race against three competitors to a maximum of two players, one with the GamePad. For account handling, nothing but very classic, in the vein of Wii opus: it was to hold its handle to the horizontal and inclined to turn. Only additional features: the ability to use triggers to carrer and bunting kidney springboards to jump in and get a mini turbo.
Second test, bobsleigh had the distinction of being playable up to four with three Wiimotes. Collaborative, it relies on good coordination between the different curves downhill. It is indeed to look in the right tempo to fit the curve turn and catch the flying some acceleration bands scattered on the track.
MARTINE & SONIC ARE SKATING
Third and final playable race, the "championship race" was both less realistic and more interesting. In the manner of a kind of MotorStorm ice in the world of Nintendo and Sega, the circuit had several types of coatings adapted to different modes of locomotion. Ski, snowboard, bobsled or ice skating, it was the player to join or frosted parts, or the snow to successfully move faster parts. Knowing that each turn, the player changed randomly vehicle! Original and eventful, this limited the Wiimote test could be used alone program to a whole game. Too bad that only one player can participate.
I would be lying to say that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games in Sochi is the most revolutionary game of the show. The title fits very closely in line with his elders, with a cast of popular characters (Luigi, Peach, Vector, Tails, etc..), Taking a deliberately simple hand and highly codified races. As usual, the game lacks tone and gives an impression of softness in the controls. It makes up for a very nice implementation and appropriate use of the GamePad as board play. Not enough to get up at night, but it's still better than nothing.
